I was testing this out this morning and can't really tell if it was doing any better than the small amount of bonus a third T2 cap recharger, with its stacking penalty, would do. The Archon has four mid-slots, one of which (on my non-triage fits)...

I have a character that has a good standing with all high-sec factions, and wish to keep him that way. If I am the one shooting, say, Minmatar ships on a level 4 kill mission, and he is remote repping me (but not shooting the Minnie ships at all)...

There were a few armor-tanking PVP Raven fits being used about a year ago, but I don't see them now. The main Caldari PVP armor-tank fit would be a Scorpion, but those aren't all that prevalent either after the Falcons and such were introduced.
